I feel like such a terrible blog friend... I just left you high and dry for almost two weeks!!
That's awful of me. I have not been a good blogger.
There has been NO Blogging and NO Blog reading going on... there has been plenty of working and some semi running whenever possible.
Work usually takes over my life the last week of May and into the first week of June, it's like this every year and I have to say that I love it.
I'm happy that I still managed to get some sort of running in every other day, or whenever I had the opportunity.
I'm still dealing with IT Band issues, which really makes me upset. I really need to see my Dr to get this issue resolved. I also need new running shoes, which might not be helping the problem.
WHY can't I just run with no pain. It's seems like it's been one thing after the other.
I know the important part is that I stick with it and not give up.
I also know that it's a bit unrealistic to think that I will be able to run a 10miler on July 12th, so I'm going to wait and see how my IT Band looks when I get back from Vacation and then decided if I will at least run a 5k that day.
We are officially in Vacation countdown mode... only 10 days left and still so much to do and prep.
OH and lets not forget we have Mom and Dad's 40th Wedding Anniversary this weekend, just a BBQ with a few of their closest friends.

UGH!!! poor thing, I feel your pain. I can't run and I am waiting waiting for my IT band to get better as well. Hopeful for you!! Hang in there and RUN Smart. Talking to my P.T. today we discussed about how it is not about the NEXT RACE but a lifetime of being ABLE to run. Hang in there.
hope you feel better soon!
Hope you can run without pain real soon. Sounds like lots of fun stuff coming up :)
Sorry to hear you are still having pain. I do hope it goes away soon and you can run pain free. I hear you on the crazy work schedule! But good job on getting your runs in when you can. And enjoy your upcoming vacation!!
Remember to stretch your IT band as much as possible. Sometimes, it's from muscular imbalances so you might need to add in some strength training or cross training.
AND, a lot of it has to deal with heel-striking. Stick with it but also be careful about getting injured. Women are just more prone to stress fractures and what not since we are more likely to be calcium deficient.
Wow! Try to slow down and breathe.... exhale.... hope your IT band is healing. :(
Take care of yourself! HUGS from Orlando...
